With regret, we must inform you that we are discontinuing the Star Reward Program As a nonprofit organization, 100% of Sister Carmen Thrift Store’s proceeds go to support Sister Carmen Community Center’s many programs and services. This includes financing our food bank operations, family and community education programs, and many types of assistance for those in need—such as helping people impacted by the Marshall Fire.

Items sold in the Thrift Store have always been intentionally priced very low, so they’re affordable to the entire community. However, over the last several years, the store has experienced quite a few hardships itself, between the pandemic, the recent Marshall Fire crisis, and now rising operational costs. In an effort to prevent price increases on our goods, we have unfortunately decided to discontinue the Star Reward Program permanently.

When we put the program on hold in 2020, it was always our intention to allow customers to redeem these points again in the future, but we just cannot afford to do so. We understand that this will be disappointing to many of our loyal customers, so as a token of our gratitude for your continued support, we are offering anyone with Star Rewards the opportunity to redeem $10 off. This is a one-time only opportunity that will be available through July 31, 2022. When checking out, please let the cashier know if you would like to redeem your $10 reward. After you have done so once, or after July 31st, your Star Rewards will be zeroed out.

Thank you for your understanding.
